How it started

Nora loved the community you get from couch-surfing. She also walked into too many rooms that felt off, especially as a queer woman. She thought the welcome should be the default.

That spark became Quouch, from a small team in Berlin.

We started with a couch. Stay with queers, or open your place. Hosting is free. A membership is what lets you message someone 1:1 to make a stay happen.

Then people asked for more than a night on the sofa. So we added home swaps for a real stay in someone else's city. Hangouts when you want to meet in town this week. A map of cafés, bars, clubs and spaces our community pins. Discover for the parties, workshops and little meetups already on the calendar.

Profiles and reports get a human look every week. A lot of people arrive with a friend code. If you show up without one, we may read your profile first. Cis, straight, dyadic men are not the guest list. This is not a dating app.

97% of the folks who try hosting have a 5-star time. 88% do it again. We're in 1,200+ cities and 80+ countries, and we still read the reports ourselves.
