How itstarted
While travelling, Nora loved the sense of community through couch-surfing, but too often she ran into uncomfortable or unsafe situations.
As a queer woman, she thought: it doesn't have to be this way. That became Quouch.
The platform is a safe space. Cis straight men are not welcome, even when they mean well. There are plenty of other places for them to travel and hang out.

- That's how we started. You can still couch-surf, swap homes, join hangouts and find places on a map, and hosting is free. We're growing into the biggest queer, connection-first travel community on the internet, with thousands of new folks joining every month.
- What's the difference?
- Couchsurfing is open to everyone. Quouch is for queer people, and feeling safe and connected comes first. A lot of people arrive invited by a friend, the team reads reports, and hangouts are in the app. It is not a dating app.
- I'm queer and I already use Couchsurfing. Can I join?
- Of course! Download the app and make a profile. Hosting is free. A membership is what lets you message someone 1:1 to arrange a stay, hangout or home swap.
